Using TBL Files:
- Weapons and Ships use .TBL type files.
- Save any new versions of the .TBL files in a "data/tables" directory using the same name as the original file.
- Custom .TBL files will break multiplayer.
- Deleting the custom .TBL files will restore the original FreeSpace .TBL files.
Creating TBL Files:
- Tables determine the properties and rules for the weapons and ships in the game.
- Change the properties for existing weapons, by editing the weapons.TBL file containing the weapon properties.
- Change the properties for existing ships, by editing the ships.TBL file containing the ship properties.
- Pay attention to the comments in the files left by Volition.
- Files must be saved using the same name as the original file.
