The GTVA is a shambles, and the fleet is at less than half it's pre-NTF strength. Pirates and gangs terrorise the civilian population, and security forces are stretched to the limit.
You are a pilot on the GTD Indomitable, an old Orion - class destroyer. As the Indomitable approaches the Rigel jump node in Beta Cygni, it is attacked by hostiles with unknown motives. You must defend the Indomitable against a vicious attack, taking on fighters, bombers and cruisers until she can escape through the node...
This is my first proper mission for Freespace 2, but I think this is quite good fun.
