Scientists believe that the destruction of the Lucifer while still within the Sol-Delta Serpentis jump node has unstabled the fabric of space-time, thus cutting off our only link to the outside universe through subspace. They predict that unless something is done soon, the node will collapse entirely, with catastrophic results. Luckely, the best astrophysicists in the GTA are located in the Sol system. They have proposed a plan to repair the damage done to the node. This plan will call for the use of four science vessels to emit a Subspace Field Pulse around the node. The four GTSC Faustus-class vessels will take up positions around the circumference of the Node, emit the pulse, and then remain there in position to moniter the state of the Node.
