Description
Destroy the Shivans main front line cargo depot

Storyline: 1.0 Stars
The storyline is just about as simple as it gets. A recon wing locates a Shivan supply depot, which you are responsible for destroying. There is no command briefing, and both the briefing and debriefing have many typos and grammatical errors. Apparently the author felt that things like periods and commas were optional. There are only a few in-flight messages, none of which aid the plot at all.

Balance: 2.5 Stars
The mission is a little easy, especially considering the default loadout is the Erinyes with UD-8 Kaysers and Prometheus Standards. The cargo containers go down quickly, and the friendly Deimos can handle the Shivan Moloch easily enough. Defending the Liberty from the (unannounced) Shivan bombers is only difficult because you have no message to let you know the Liberty is in danger.

Design: 1.5 Stars
There are no directives in this mission, not even one for "return to base." The mission goals are fine, even including secondary and bonus goals, but these are not reflected in the debriefing, and points don't make a difference in single missions. The background is sort of neat, albeit simple. A single planet, highly scaled, definitely gives the feeling of fighting right above the atmosphere of a planet, instead of in deep space.

Gameplay: 2.0 Stars
The Shivans in this mission are pretty much pushovers. When I flew the mission in Herc II's instead of Erinyes, and took away the Kaysers, the Shivans were a much more credible threat. However, at it's default, the opposition needs to be stronger, or the default loadout need to be weaker. However, there definitely is potential here. Nothing out of the ordinary happens in the mission, everything goes as planned, so there is very little replay value.

Other Thoughts:
It's not that I hate the UD-8 Kayser. They're just very powerful weapons that take more effort to balance.

Bottom Line: An easy assault mission with a weak storyline.
Highs: Nice effect with the large planet. There is definitely potential for a fun gameplay experience.
Lows: Too easy; the Shivans are little match for your forces. Weak storyline with many grammatical errors.
