BigJR @ 09/14/00 Great campaign with a really good story line. I did think a few to many capital ships were blown up in every mission, such as a hecate class destroyer which command was 'willing to loose', which was a bit unrealistic, but apart from that, v good.
NessRuvin @ 09/15/00 way to many fighter etc. in the first mission, the jugernaut mission is just insane!
tnastran @ 09/23/00 Superb storyline.......excellent missions. 5 out of 5!!!
Ugly @ 10/09/00

matsukao @ 10/18/00 one of the best user campaigns so far...
Locutus @ 11/16/00 Almost as good as the main campaign IMHO. Nice and long, with many plot twists...a little simple on the briefing language and the narrator always seemed rather cocky...and the shivans didn't seem as menacing. What was with the 20 colossus's?? hehe How long after the 2nd great war was this taking place?? Anyway...overall it's great and I recommend it to anyone :P Like the enterprise at the end hehe...

jpgarner @ 12/09/00 Overall I really enjoyed playing this campaign.

There are some great plot twists, and nothing really comes out of nowhere plot-wise (infact sometimes things are a little over-explained). Actually the plot was a nice departure from the babylon-5-esque plots you see a lot of.

Mission difficulty was a little variable. Most are well paced, difficult but not impossible. Lots of messaging required. A couple are way too easy, and one is phenomenally hard - flying solo your're meant to take on 8 heavily armed freighters and a wing of fighters BEFORE they reach the cargo (they destroy the cargo if they blow up near it), and you can't load up with tempests! Okay that mission just frustrated me! Otherwise though a really good campaign.
simon watson @ 01/15/01 Promotion is a lot easier to get in this campaign along with a lot of kills
jort @ 01/17/01 Great story!
Not that good English tho...
MadJack @ 01/23/01 This was a fun campaign, with some very epic missions. I mean, the first mission had about 30 enemy wings vs 10 of yours.

However, it get easy towards the end (one mission in a nebula saw the entire enemy fleet wiped out in 2 minutes!).

If you like small, detailed missions, miss this out. If you like HUGE battles, d/l it now.
karp @ 02/22/01 The only complaints I have are the communications between ships. At times, they are so unmilitary in fashion that they're hilarious. For example: admirals voting through radio over what actions they're going to take. Other than that, great campaign.
-Norbert- @ 07/27/01 The last "Mission" was really great! I enjoyed the show very much.
ashrak @ 07/27/01

Play this is verry good campagain
Grammarye @ 08/05/01 Not bad as a premise, however lacks some of the feeling of realism that the main campaign lends, with very short & rather odd briefings.
carcass @ 09/05/01 If you like bombing runs try it!!
NORTHRIM @ 10/18/01 Mumbo Jumbo has a glitch that doesn't let you ffufill the mission.
jkrivanek @ 11/14/01 Excellent campaign, almost as good as the original FS2 campaign, which is pretty high praise! Keep up the good work!!!
owm_vm @ 03/21/02 Very good Campaign
Follows logically from FS2 with good missions and strong story
strinder @ 04/01/02 A sorry plotline that is overexplained seems to be the highlight of this campain, and its topped off by a series of completely ridiculous situations only help to push it over the edge. They include a nearly unlimited supply of Colossus class ships, terran ships with shivan weapondry that command is "willing to lose", the capture of a shivan juggernaught by a nearly destroyed crusier, and a breaking of shivan code "though we know nothing of there language". If you like explosions however you might want to check this out, if you value a belivable storyline leave this one behind.
erick_dk @ 05/18/02 People, do you like flying long distances? not being told when your supposed to go home? test missions for designers who didn't have time to do it? read 8 (!) pages of text in the command briefing before the very first mission in a campaign you just seen for the first time, text that describes a very complex political situation, plus geographical and ethnical data about a system you don't care about? plus see all the movies from the main campaign again, being required to swap CDs for them (i guess you can press cancel, but why do this in the first place)?
and continue doing this for 28 missions?
Then this is the campaign for you - the second great masochistic war - because you have to be a masochist to put yourself through it.
Space Cowboy @ 06/13/02 This campaign is a fairly difficult one for sure....definatly not to be attempted by a rookie pilot! The plot is a bit corny at times, but all in all this was definatly worth the time to download and play!
Support 1 @ 10/26/02 The gameplay of the campaign is okay. However, the title of the campaign isn't very original, and has got (almost) nothing to do with the story.

When the author meant "great", he MEANT it. The biggest problem of this mission is swarming, both on the friendly and enemy side. How's it battling a dozen wings, while you still have to give orders to your OWN dozen wings? In almost every mission Delta wing has six fighters with seemingly unlimited number of waves. Same for the enemy.

On the capital ship side, it also has excessive use of them. No, not "Battle of Endor". You have two destroyers to protect and a few clicks away are a dozen idle cruisers just there for the show, which don't even matter to you, the hostiles, or the mission. More like overuse of ships, under-usefulness of them.

Ship selection is overkill, but weapon selection is limited. You sometimes can't make Alpha wing Aresn fighters simply because you lack Harpoons or Tornadoes for them to use!

A slight conflict with the FS story, the Lucifers don't blow up when you destroy it's reactors. However, destroying "three reactors in subspace" will disable it's shields.

The third mission is IMPOSSIBLE! The first mission will CRASH to the desktop unless you destroy half the fighters in less than three minutes. All the medals are given in the campaign. The last mission isn't even important, unless you want to watch or get the last medal which wasn't given earlier.
