Excellent campaign so far. I can't wait to have mission #8 fixed.
By and far the best FS2 campaign to date. |
| jcisarm @ 08/02/00 |
Espero que haya continuación de esta campaña, esta campaña estaba muy buena, pero necesita un poco más de armas y naves, además de agregarle sonido a los debriefings. |
| talon_59 @ 08/07/00 |
I found a couple problems in a few missions.
a mission where I had to protect 2 transports were under attack by drones, I can't beat the mission even though I protect the transports... |
| Squall88_ff @ 08/11/00 |
Fantastic the best campaign I have evr played, better than Volitons attempts! |
| fixpoint @ 08/14/00 |
Excellent storyline, and it's presented well. (A little predictable with the Morgan Tech sabotage, pirate ruse). And the inclusion of the Auriga is a little far out. Only a little. Maybe a little explanation is in order as to how a mining company got it's hands on such technology. |
| MrG @ 08/21/00 |
To much hampering with FSII files (like the .tbl files) or to many upgrades (same result) May cause the third mission (a dream mission) not to complete.
sollution: reinstall FSII and no more then this campaign. |
| Mad_Bomber @ 08/23/00 |
I thought the part of the campaign i've seen is intriguing and fun. Good plot, i really liked the dream mission, a nice touch, especially the Sathanas hitting you in the face and waking you up. :) |
| Worldsong @ 09/05/00 |
Although the campaign was as real as the Freespace 2 campaign, there were some spots that were extremely hard to get through. Such was the mission where you were to escort the Meridian and the Haulian to the node - it was hard, but it was something, all right. The schemes were more than ingenious, and the comments of your wingmen were hilarious at times. Excellent work! |
| Odragom @ 09/10/00 |
Suggestion: In one command briefing it is said that the Silver Scythes don't have big technologies, the Myrmidon is a relatively advanced fighter, so why don't you put us flying an Hercules or an Ulysses? They are a more piece of junk than the Myrmidon don't they?
|
| PhyreBoy @ 09/11/00 |
WOW! Great campaign, i especially liked the worker uprisings as well as the dream sequence :))) |
| BigJR @ 09/14/00 |
a superb campaing, can't wait for the full release! |
| delpi @ 09/24/00 |
It was great when i was dropping the comm drones and i was sleep and had the nightmare. It was preety darn cool man! I totally freak out! You RULE!!!!! |
| DragonBot @ 10/10/00 |
Wow! This was great...Or what i have played so far has been great...I am stuck on the mission where you have to escort 2 ships to the jump node. I must say...the dream sequence was a very nice touch...That sathanas scared the Sh!t outta me! |
| rmrjr @ 10/15/00 |
ITS GREAT!!! |
| IceFire @ 10/16/00 |
The best set of missions created by anybody from outside of Volition. This is truly the best campaign out there hands down! |
| pitnecniv @ 10/17/00 |
Great campaign - the best I ever played (and I've played quite a few.) Very well polished and designed - no spelling errors etc, compelling storyline. The plot is excellent (although plot of opening missions is a bit slow-moving). |
| Ice Heart @ 10/17/00 |
This is a truly great campaign! At least as good as the original FreeSpace 2 campaign, if not better =). |
| thatar @ 10/19/00 |
Awsome, surrreal, excellent!!!!
You sure ought to play this one:))) |
| Peter Haag @ 10/20/00 |
WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! |
| Kazan @ 10/21/00 |
IMPO this is excellent. Agatheron and Kellan have produced a set of missions as good if not better than the ones volition made themselves. If Volition/THQ aquires to rights to FS2 and releases like a "platnum" edition of FS2 Derelict should be included as the official espansion |
| gdewey @ 10/23/00 |
This is a brilliant campaign--As far as design quality and fun gameplay go, it's at least the equal of the main campaign. The only thing holding it back at the moment is a lack of voice acting (and that is going to be remedied when the authors find actors for all the roles and release the voice pack).
I would highly recommend this campaign. |
| Maverick 999 @ 10/28/00 |
This is a great campaign, just as good as Volition's. It will be even better once voice-overs are included (It gets a bit annoying having to look and read the messages). |
| turnsky @ 10/31/00 |
Thank god i'm not a diabetic it is SWEEEEEEEET!!! |
| derekman @ 11/01/00 |
great campaign |
| Nuttster @ 11/14/00 |
Excellent, I think you people should create another campaign as soon as possible. |
| defender zero @ 11/14/00 |
it is great allthough escorting those two freighters is hard |
| nherman @ 11/17/00 |
I would have loved to have voice-overs, but this is the best user-created campaign I've ever played! It rivals the very game itself! If you haven't tried this campaign... what are you waiting for?!?! AWESOME! |
| kdc_southport2 @ 11/17/00 |
This is a very good campaign, I would recommend every true FS2 player to at least try it. |
| The_Hunter @ 11/23/00 |
as soon as all the bugs are out im sure this will be the best campaign out there |
| Mr.Wildride @ 11/26/00 |
I really gald you finished it i kept looking on the website but it never got put up after or updated after V.99...I really liked the dream ship thing that was awesome! |
| Hawkeye @ 11/29/00 |
The campaign is outstanding, you can´t stop playing. The story is just as good as the FS1 which is far better than the FS2. Thanks a lot for creating a mission like this |
| Ghost Rider2K @ 12/08/00 |
Awesome, worthy of the original game [some things I think were better!!!!] |
| Mandela @ 12/11/00 |
Very Good, almost as the Main Campaigm |
| Dexter @ 12/23/00 |
Yeehaw ! Amazing!
|
| sgt_r22er @ 12/25/00 |
WOW! WOW! and WOW! Terrific campaign. A must have on everyones hard drives. |
| abumujahid @ 01/02/01 |
this was the best freeSpace2 camp. i've seen so far the work was excellent...now we find that morgan destroyer part2. i wished we could have kept the sheivian destroyer excellant work bros. |
| Jammigit @ 01/03/01 |
This is a very big campaign, the authors have taken the opportunity to put in some real 'change of pace' type of missions. Some missions could be a little hard but that was probably more down to my lacklustre piloting skills. I haven't listed any errors per se but there are some command briefings where the text doesn't fit completely in the window. I,ll probably have another go at this campaign sometime. Especially if some voice acting .wav's were available. As a final comment I'd like to say that some of these missions are the best I have ever played. |
| daystorm @ 01/15/01 |
Wow, quite a story, very well written.
I was really impressed with the dialogue and the twists and turns in the story. There's also some kick butt missions that were innovative and creative. The story was very engrossing and though the in-mission text scrolled a little too fast, all the banter and commands were very well done. Nice touches and an exciting play all around. Kudos! |
| Willy @ 01/21/01 |
I like it when you can download the campaign instead of taking files out of zips. |
| ckiviaho @ 02/04/01 |
Not bad at all
|
| Lady Rose @ 02/06/01 |
more campains like this one |
| Zippy @ 02/08/01 |
Overall a very good set of missions indeed. Be nice to have voices for all of them. The mission with the drones is rather tough. |
| dauphin @ 02/09/01 |
Some missions were real creations of beauty- The starbase in Tania Australis... reminded me how Elite could be with such an engine. The Deep Space Patrol... slow paced and athmospheric. Onslaught- with the beam fight on the background... And many more. |
| devestator @ 02/16/01 |
An Excellent Campaign, Very good storyline |
| okm @ 02/19/01 |
Wow A good mission is never to miss. It is better tham freespace and 2 together |
| ffej @ 02/19/01 |
I have to say that I really had a great time guys
The story was imaginative and plausable and the missions were well crafted, my only gripe (if you can call it a gripe) was the limited ship choice early on in the campaign. All in all excellent! |
| g37693 @ 02/26/01 |
Overall, an excellant choice for those like me who love the game but have played the reguler missions enough to rack up 1400 kills. |
| Ezekiel @ 02/26/01 |
Superb. Some missions not as involving or exciting as the others, the standard really varies. But overall, a very good, atmospheric campaign. And huge! |
| billy-home @ 02/26/01 |
Excellent campaign, every bit as good as the main campaign, would have got a 10 if there had been any voice-overs. All in all brilliant. |
| danilm @ 02/27/01 |
Extraordinary campaign, definitely on par with Volition's efforts. Incredible variety, quantity and quality of missions. Kudos on the freaky dream mission! |
| FreeSpaceGuy @ 02/27/01 |
It was realy great! The only problem is that the begining was a LITTLE slow to get in the center/exiting parts and at the end it suddenly went WHOOSH and volla end of campain. It could do with a little thought on misson structure' but apart from that it was great! |
| batesworld @ 02/27/01 |
You have taken alot of time to do this campagn, and I found it great. I like the sub-space mission, the dream idea and when you had to deploy the becons. You've inspired me to make some missions of my own. GREAT CAMPAIGN!!!! |
| Bezzer @ 03/05/01 |
What an amazing campaign, Definatly one of the best I have played. Excellent work! |
| ctaragon @ 03/07/01 |
REALLY WELL DONE |
| corporalpingree @ 03/21/01 |
Excellent Campaign, far better the the FS2 one!
The story is tense and well told, if you have not got it D/L it now!
Will the designers please write another Campaign Please?! |
| collossus2000 @ 03/22/01 |
This campaign is COOL!!! The storyline is original and interesting. The only thing is that there's no voices and the messages come without delay and we need to press F4 to see what has been said. |
| sempher @ 03/23/01 |
Aboslutely awsome. this is all the Fs2 fix i'm going to need for awhile (drool, drool) |
| fakemccoy @ 03/24/01 |
Excellent storyline, but some subplots get cut off early, though. Interesting characters, Great dialog. Somewhat limited in the weaponry availablily late in the campaign, though. |
| beocom @ 03/28/01 |
Great!! When will we see the voices??? |
| Dude Love @ 03/31/01 |
mostly good, wish there were voice add-ons |
| mustard_boy @ 04/01/01 |
an outstanding Campaign overall, story line etc. my only recomendation would like a steach add-on. it hard to read and fly at the some time. i would give it a "10" if it have some speach. |
| startrekjg @ 04/13/01 |
This was a great campaign. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is it needs voice. Its hard to read reports while in combat |
| joelshooster @ 04/14/01 |
Great campaign. best i've ever played even though i have only played 6 missions so far the marie celeste mission really freaked me out. you did a great job recreating ships like that and i jumped when the sathanas class almost killed me. |
| omnicron @ 04/21/01 |
Top stuff, looks like popular demand is for a voice-over. If U live in Scotland (admittedly unlikely) I would be happy to play someone's voice for U. |
| bigbossman @ 04/30/01 |
the best campign ive ever played, just as good as the main fs2 campign, hope to see more of your campigns in the future |
| bubblemcb @ 05/04/01 |
Amazing! Just the add-on I was looking for! Just a few parts need polishing, and some speech would be nice, but this campaign is top quality! |
| diamondgeezer @ 05/05/01 |
Get this campaign RIGHT NOW! If only it had voice acting, thie dialogue is great *sigh* |
| johnso8 @ 05/13/01 |
Derelict is a brill campaign, which shows what FreeSpace 2 is really capable of. It would have been even better if the voices were there, but this beats the main Freespace 2 campaign hands down. Fantastic. |
| Zeta1 @ 05/17/01 |
damn good!i liked it!i just say that. |
| Frogstar_tt @ 05/18/01 |
This is an excellent campaign, with a gripping storyline to rival the Main Freespace II Campaign!! With voiceovers, this campaign would be on par with the best produced by Volition. Well done! |
| ben5501 @ 05/19/01 |
A most excellent campaign. |
| nomad15 @ 05/28/01 |
All I can say is.. beautifull. Not many people can create a masterpiece like this. This is the kinda campain that makes u wanna play it over and over and leaves u thinking about the storyline while ur not even on the computer! hahaha
|
| kimiboy @ 05/30/01 |
The best Freespace 2 user created campaign out there so far. At least in my opinion. It's a must for any freespace 2 fan. I hope you will make an other campaign in the future. |
| kays @ 06/06/01 |
super, duper.
Tons of fun. Slowpace missions build up a tune of things to come...great. Voices would be nice, but then again..nobody can hear you screem in space! |
| Imperiator @ 06/11/01 |
It was a little long, and half of it was fighting a bunch of crappy pirates.
and the misssion was too adapted to "characters(e.g Mackie))
make another campaign by all means! but make it a little shorter and with more action! |
| Lone Wolf @ 06/17/01 |
This mission had a more interesting storyline than the original game did. I enjoyed it a great deal, and couldn't wait to see what was coming next. My only complaint is that it did not resolve all of the mysteries... please do a sequel! |
| wielgosz @ 06/29/01 |
Superb mission design coupled with great storytelling. Volition should hire you! I have a new benchmark for player-created missions/campaigns. Oh, and love the dialogue. |
| Mercenary_X21 @ 06/29/01 |
IT's good well balinced, great plot. It's a wonder that the people that made this didn't get to make Freespace 2. It's a wonder that this isn't an offical campain by V. Shame that they won't valadate it. But that's what I've been told. |
| megumi_hikaru @ 07/08/01 |
Great story but a few mission is a bit beyond my expectation. |
| Denryu @ 08/01/01 |
The best campaign, apart of the real fs2 campaign, i ever played!
Really great! |
| Grammarye @ 08/05/01 |
Fabulous campaign with mystery, suspense, a decent plot, and no errors that I could see. If I had to criticise, the plot resolves itself a little too quickly, and unexpectedly, however this may be a design insight beyond my ability to fathom! |
| cwbuzz @ 09/09/01 |
the only thing that would have made it better would have been voice in pilot messages |
| Lasmrah @ 09/10/01 |
Its THE best campaign i've played, hands down. There are only two problems-you need voice-overs and on mission 'Quoth the Raven' there is a bug that prevents it from being completed! please fix this! |
| mcmillro @ 10/09/01 |
This was one of the best campains I've ever played!! Nice action, good plot, and the nightmare mission scared the crap out of me!! The only reason why this does not get a 10 is because there were no voice overs...which was annoying to say the least. I was pushing f4 non-stop to see what the hell was going on!!! Other than that a great campain! Hope blackwater operations is better, and has voices!! |
| bird-fuel @ 10/12/01 |
Incredible job. I can't say enough as to how good this campaign is. It's perfect (well minus a few small errors). Great story and realistic conversations between your wingmen. More duct tape please! |
| deja vu @ 10/16/01 |
Great campaign. really creepy on the beacon deploy part but that just adds atmosphere. long too. took me 4 days playing 24/7 to finish it. did have a few bugs in the mission where the nyarlothyep cuts itself free... you finish the mission right as it begins... |
| childofthekorn @ 10/21/01 |
Overall, the most involving campaign since the main FS2 one. One small gripe: No speech! It got a little difficult to read and fight at the same time. Please include voice files (especially for Mackie, he was hilarious!). Otherwise it was brilliantly done. |
| uloveru @ 10/23/01 |
This was an excellent campaign that is a must play
for any FS2 fan. Comparible to what Violition dishes out,Great job guys. Hope there is a sequel or a prequel in the works. |
| T.O.Doggie @ 11/08/01 |
Gawd, I loved this campaign. I never had as much fun playing a user made campaign before. If everyone had the skills of making a campaign as the creators of this did I'd be dead of too much fun. LOVED IT! How can you possibly hate it? So well designed, and for the most part, realistic. Even when an unrealistic part was added to the campaign [the Gorgon Beam thingy], the creators provided a "scientific explanation" as to why it was so strong. There's only one real drawback to the campaign-- when you play online after d/l this, it says you're a hacker and PXO want accept your stats. PXO sucks anyway, so it isn't much of a bad thing. Also, I couldn't read some of the command briefing text cuz it didn't fit.
My favorite moment was in the missions were you're hunting for the Auriga. I was tasked with escorting an AWAC as it searched for it. A Frigate jumped in, supposed to be friendly, but it appeared, Derelict... spooky. Then, I got a message that said a power spike was being read from the AWAC. Than, all of a sudden, a gigantic Green Beam carves the AWAC in six pieces and nearly takes my fighter with it... only inches away from me! Scared the heck outta me! |
| mooch645 @ 11/19/01 |
overall a fantastic campaign. well thought-out, imaginative, engaging. my only gripe, other than the Onslaught mission problems, is that there is so much going on, and so often the movement of the story relies on what is said in-mission, that i often missed crucial plot points. the campaign screams for voice-over, though i know this is difficult to create. I thought your campaign bested Volitions' release easily, even without the voice-over. I wish more campaign projects came out this well, few people wopuld still be clamouring for FS3 on the boards. thank you for the effort. |
| HATMAN13 @ 12/08/01 |
This is the most outstanding, well plotted space simulator campaign I have ever come across. There is always a delightful surprise in every mission! The only sad part is that the campaign eventually (after 44 missions!!!) ends ... |
| BlackDove @ 12/19/01 |
Terrific whoever made it (I saw the credits in the end and I've seen most of you guys on the VBB but I don't know you)
In any case I would reccomend it to anyone who has played the single of Freespace2 to the end.
This would be able to validate as an official campaign that comes with the game (if it already isn't)
IT ROCKS to say the least, and btw nice touch with that Meson Gun. I knew it would be a pain to make something new, so I did not expect anything out of new weapons, but that was a terrific surprise even though it lasted one mission!!!
I can't describe it in any other way but to say GREAT.
Also if it is possible (if there are any) I would like the sound files of the briefings/debriefings and in-game voices (if it exsists of course, since I saw in the end who gave voices so I automatticaly thought there are some)
But never the less I can't wait for something new like the BlackWater Operation :) :D !!!!!! |
| Yue @ 12/21/01 |
very good, no errors! Not many campaigns don't have errors and this is one of them! I'm awaiting Black Water Operations..sounds even better. |
| the_bouncer @ 12/30/01 |
This was the best campaign I have ever played for FS2. The storyline was great and the challenge of the missions were perfectly set. I really congratulate the author. Anyone who has not played this campaign, download it and play it. You wont be sorry. |
| LouM123 @ 01/17/02 |
Better than the campaign that comes with FS2. |
| RafK2 @ 02/03/02 |
An outstanding campaign, a very worthy one that should be incorperated into the official timeline. The starting missions perhaps dragged on a little too long with the pirates before gettting into the main bit of the story but once the auriga and the lucifer got involved i completed the whole thing in a couple of days! Some outstanding (almost) cut scenes such as watching the long range running battle between the shiven and GTVA task forces and the recon against the shiven fleet...didnt even know the engine could suport that many cap ships!
One of the best parts of the whole campaign is the way capships arnt just thrown away as in some dont get me wrong dozens are destroyed, but it all is part of one plan or another It shows how just a handful of destroyers really influence things in each system
anyway download it! |
| Charmaka @ 02/13/02 |
If you're reading this and you haven't completed Derelict, j00=f00. I can't make it any clearer than that :P My two favourite things were a) the way that you get from being a pilot in a backwater posting doing relatively unimportant missions to being at the forefront of the GTVA defence against a new Shivan invasion _without even noticing_ (about three quarters of the way through I suddenly thought "hey, I was escorting freighters and fighting pilots earlier one"), and b) the whole duct tape thing - gets my award for "funniest in-game dialogue of all time", narrowly beating the thing with the landmine in Golgotha, Fallout 2 :) |
| mphkz7 @ 03/11/02 |
it rocked!!!!!!!!!! alot of lock up play a mission complete it go in to briefing for next mission it would lock up resart play perfect finish mission goto briefing for next one lock up other wise great thanks dragon mphkz7@aol.com |
| adwight @ 03/14/02 |
This is THE best campaign ever made. The Dream sequence just added atmosphere. When *SPOILER ALERT* Morgan betrayed the GTVA, I actually felt I had been betrayed, and on the last mission, I felt like I WAS the last hope for the GTVA, I had butterflies. THIS WAS JUST AWESOME |
| pyro-manic @ 03/28/02 |
The only thing wrong is that there is no voice acting! One or two small spelling mistakes, but they don't create any problems. This campaign is as good, if not better than the actual main FS2 campaign! I can't wait for the next one this guy does - I want to know what happened to the MTD Auriga. If anyone from Volition read this, then give this guy a job! He's brilliant.
DOWNLOAD THIS NOW!!! IT'S THE BEST THERE IS!!! |
| mikegene @ 04/23/02 |
The plot & story line were great! I liked it as much as the Freespace 1 & 2 campaigns (if not more). I loved the fact that it wasn't a couple of missions long. It really kept my attention & I'll be going back to play it again and again. There needs to be more like this......Thank You!!! |
| ericjames @ 05/10/02 |
GREAT |
| Fox Fives @ 06/07/02 |
Best there is and i havent even finished yet... The mission Im at is particularly mean because i have to take out beam turrets without my favourite Trebuchets :D |
| Oblivions Agony @ 06/08/02 |
I've been out of the loop for a while, started playing FS2 again and also going through this fine campaign once more. It really is a lot of fun. One question though, do I have a faulty memory? Because I thought this had a speech add-on to it. |
| Ninja_Uk @ 06/27/02 |
Dream sequence made me change my shorts as did the arrival of the lucifer super destroyer...other than that a few boring missions but on the whole a good piece of work
Ninja |
| Zinga @ 06/30/02 |
Other than the few errors. The one listed above messing up one mission completely. It was a very excellent campain. I unfortunaately can not finish it until the Cypher mission is fixed. |
| miikkaf @ 07/03/02 |
Best user-created campaign so far and even better than the original Freespace2 main campaign. It is very good. Thanks to the designers! :) |
| stormysideup @ 07/18/02 |
I know other people have said this already, but I can't stress it enough... Derelict is a must-have for any FS2 pilot. Both authors are obviously capable designers that have a gift that many of their peers do not; masterful storytelling. The plot of Derelict is opened not by the usual "surprise mass-shivan invasion of GTVA space" but rather a nice "warm-up" to this enevitable FS universe event. <Sidenote: This pirate/merc prologue is easily put to shame by the later, developed story if you're turned off by non-Shivan storylines.> Afterwards, Derelict continues to wow with some inriguing plot developments. Oh yeah, as for the other all- around important campaign traits (gameplay/presentation), Derelict deserves another pat-on-the-back and then some. The majority of the missions are pretty well-designed with the right mix of intensity and order. As for the more experienced dogfighters lookin for some real meat, Derelict serves that up too (just turn up the dificulty and watch it fly!) With no bugs (in my observation) and a memorable experience, Derelict is well worth your time. |
| Steel Angel @ 08/07/02 |
Excellent... |
| Gee Money @ 09/09/02 |
Godd campaign, but dare I say it, it could do with a bit of polish. I've got to ask, what happened to chasing down the Auriga? |
| Fo_Cuene @ 09/13/02 |
I haven't tested this at all yet, because the installer did not recognize my having installed freespace 2 at all! It really should have a browse option. Talk about game-stopping bugs! :D |
| Mopy @ 10/20/02 |
Awesome story line. The best part was deffinately the way you brought the player far deeper in to the game by expanding on character personalities especially with the wingmen and their amusing comments. I felt like I kinda knew them by the end of all the missions.
I won't give away the end for anyone that hasn't played it, but lets just say whether you win or lose, it deffinately makes you feel like you were part of the bigger picture.
Most fun from a user made/additonal non release campaign I've ever had. Congrats! Two *HUGE* thumbs up. |
| Oneiros @ 11/05/02 |
Well, what can I say about this campaign that hasn't been said before -- it's an excellent, professional quality piece of work. There is one early mission that may be a little too difficult, but other than that, it's nearly perfect, with a solid storyline and believable characters. The ship and weapon selection is appropiate for a run-down station, so you won't see many more advanced ships or weapons, all of which contributes to the campaign's atmosphere. |
| FD_Duo @ 12/05/02 |
ALWAYS protect you Captial ships if your objectives say you have to, i recomend this Campaign for good pilots only, this is longer and harder than any other game or campaign i have flown or piloted since, at least for now :) |
| Archon of Oblivion @ 12/16/02 |
This Campaign is good... Except for 2 things:
1. No speech
2. The mission Onslaught is too buggy to complete (The frigate you have to protect is an unshielded Ulysses) |
| quantax @ 02/17/03 |
This is in my opinion the top campaign out right now, as good as the original FS2 campaign. The missions were great, the language used during dialog & briefings fit the scenerio, something that I find is lacking with some campaigns. Dont miss out, download this campaign. |
| road_dancer @ 03/10/03 |
As far as I'm concerned, this could have been the plot for freespace 3, and is just as gripping as the 'official' plots! Download this! |
| whitenight @ 08/23/03 |
Excellent Campaign.. The Best I've Played.. The Dream Mission is REALLY good.. only problems are no voices and some briefings dont fit in the box.. not too critical though DOWNLOAD THIS!!! |
| Akalabeth Angel @ 09/18/03 |
I thought that overall the mission was well done. I didn't see any voice download pack but there seems to be one, judging by the credits. Oh well, I've already finished it so unless I decide to look at it again.
Thoughts on the campaign:
-overall it was quite good. I found several missions with errors, some of which made them unwinnable. Also several missions had odd mission triggers, such as having messages give time estimates for certain events but then having those events triggered not by time, but through other triggers. Ie, Qouth the Raven says the enemy jamming ship will be found in 2 minutes or something, but its actually triggered by the destruction of the bombers. In A momento, a Sobek is supposed to arrive in 3 minutes but it infact arrives after a Mjolnir is destroyed. I found these problematic.
-I found that a lot of the last few missions were lacking. The Gorgon Cannon for instance is introduced and destroyed in one mission. My sense is "where did that come from?". It doesn't really fit in with the rest of the story.
-then the plan to neutralize the main threat is also just suddenly introduced with little to no warning.
-it also seems wierd how the GTVA has so much trouble even damaging the Shivan fleet until the second last mission when the Shivans start dropping like flies.
But overall, I thought it was very good and recommend it to anyone. |

A great campaign. Good for people such as me who like to read Sci-Fi books. GREAT STORY. The length was great and there were relatively few errors and none of them were really critical to gameplay. I consider it better than the main freespace campaign. Its kind of addicting so if you start it you might want to do it around a holiday so you will not screw over your grades in school. The main problem I have been having is I have been trying to find the soundpack. Doesn't seem to exist in '04 anymore on the mirror sites. If anybody has it could you please contact me? |

EXCELLENT Campaign! The first few missions are excellently made, I have never seen the "Incoming Transmission" box inbetween missions in any third party campaign, nor have I seen such great scripting before! Fantastic storyline, however, the end of the campaign feels slightly unfinished... Alot of the later debreifings are short, and even tho you stop (SPOILER!) the Nyarlothep, they never explain what happened to the MT, the MTD Auriga, or who attacked the GTVI Convoy (remember that one mission, you had to protect some disabled convoy ships, when a buncha stealth fighters attack you?) They even have a ending campaign credits, which I thought was pretty interesting (support ship 27 LOL!) |
