Description
This batlle HOL vs Terran. You must protect outpost.
Storyline:
That's all she wrote. Defend the Andromeda station and a set of containers until the "Dark Star" (a GTC Leviathan) arrives. Of course, then another Hammer of Light attack wave arrives with the PVD Sword (a PVD Typhon).

Perhaps the only thing I can comment on (besides the lack of a story) is that the panning effect in the briefing is absolutely awful and will often get off-center.
Balance:
It seems pointless to choose from any fighter or bomber in the GTA fleet when there are no missiles or cannons with which to outfit your ships. It isn't very much fun piloting a GTB Ursa armed only with a ML-16, a Prometheus cannon and 15 MX-50 missiles. The ML-16 felt like trying to kill your enemy with paper cuts and hot sauce (don't ask), so I switched to only the Prometheus and actually ended up doing some damage.

Not that your enemy is very threatening. Something in the AI doesn't work here, perhaps the fact that your enemies are only ordered to "Attack GTSC Andromeda." It's incredibly easy to tail these Hammer of Light foes and pick away at their shields as they sit there taking the abuse like sitting ducks until...finally...their shields give and they die. And then you can take the opportunity to whittle away at the BIG rock...the PVD Sword, which must have a dull blade since it's not really a threat either.
Design:
No events. No messages. No real AI orders, and what orders are given seem only to deaden the automatic AI to your presence.

The primary objective to "defend andromeda" is satisfied as soon as you kill the first fighter (an error in the ship-type-destroyed 80% fighter/bomber sexp). And the objective to "defend the cargo" is satisfied when you kill the first wave of fighters (even if the cargo might have been destroyed).
Gameplay:
Not fun. I've had more challenges chasing down drones in the training missions, since they at least moved when you targeted them. The only challenge is waiting around long enough for your Prometheus/ML-16s to pick through the shields. Only the terminally bored might think taking on a PVD Typon with this weapon combination to be entertaining. I'm not even sure the designer considered this part of the mission, but I ended up bored enough to try. Only for a little while.
Other Thoughts:
I really can't find any redeeming qualities in this mission, and I tried. Really hard.
