Description
Attack a HOL convoy as a mercinary. :-)

Storyline: 2.0 Stars
Attack a convoy between two jump nodes with HOL bases in them. Um... er... that is... there are so many holes in this plot I found myself laughing out loud at the briefing. A mercenary wing being hired to take out HoL forces? And the existance of two major HoL bases whose locations are known is unbelievable since the Vasudans and GTA would wipe them out. The briefing's nothing to rejoice at either.

I suppose this mission is technically possible. But with dozens of fighters opposing two Ulysses and the player's Medusa (and did I mention that the player is locked into having only an Avenger with two Stillettos and a Tsunami?), Pirates becomes laughable in difficulty. No matter how hard I tried, breaking through to the two Ma'ats, stilettoing them to preven their escape via the nearby jump node (just 1:34 away for those freighters!), and smashing them with the Tsunamis proved impossible. While each runthrough lasted only 2.5 minutes, I spent fifteen trying to win. No luck. Ugh. Given a Hercules with Hornets and Interceptors, victory might have been simply difficult. But as it is...

"Ugh" comes to mind. There is little design here, and the Balance section should give you an idea of what to expect. Oh yeah... and the player collides with his wingman as the mission starts.

Gameplay: 0.5 Stars
Frsutration is the order of they day in this mission, and it's too short to enjoy even for a second.

Other Thoughts:
Did I mention that there is unneeded profanity and the player is most insulted upon losing?

Bottom Line: Is this possible? I'm not sure.
Highs: Er... well... I suppose it's interesting to kill Horuses in a Medusa...
Lows: Too short, all but impossible.
