Description
Well the shivans have made it to our main defences at earth and will stop at nothing to destroy it! Sending thier fleet to stop all who oppose them! With a little help from the Vasudans you must destroy the Shivan fleet.

Storyline: 0.5 Stars
This mission suffers from "Battle of Endor" envy. It's basically a massive battle between the Terran, Vasudan, and Shivan fleets, with only a minimal briefing listing a few ships involved. I don't know why the Vasudan fleet is as large as the Terran fleet.

Balance: 0.5 Stars
Nonexistent missle loadout with poor initial weapon configuration. I don't understand why you can reconfigure a Vasudan wing, but none of the Terran wings. Very sloppy work.

Design: 0.5 Stars
Think two dimensional showdown: the Shivans are 13,535.5 m apart from the Terran and Vasudan capital ships. Wings and even the capital ships aren't named decently. The AI isn't used at all except to march the Shivan fleet forward and have the Allied fleet idle and wait for the assault. None of the ships have any AI-orders, so the fact this mission even works at all is a testimony to Volition's built-in AI.
If your machine isn't top-of-the-line, it will crash when the capital ships get anywhere near to each other. But you'll probably be dead before that happens.

Gameplay: 0.5 Stars
Insanely difficult, especially when you have no missiles. Perhaps your only chance of survival is to wait as the Shivans advance. The Shivan light attackers will outpace the rest of the fleet and the Shivan capital ships are left behind in the dust. Friendly wings sit idly by the capital ships as Alpha is stuck doing all the work, unless you hang around the Terran capital ships.

Other Thoughts:
Anyone could've made this level. The only reason to like it is that there are so many targets to choose, but you'd be wasting your valuable hard drive space.

Bottom Line: A hastily-created example of what not to do with FRED.
Highs: Lots of things to target and destroy. You may die before your system crashes.
Lows: Suffers from Battle of Endor Envy. Will make your machine beg for mercy before crashing it.
