Description
A fight after the destruction of the Lucifer. Times are still hard for Terrans.
Storyline:
Story? What story? All the breifings are, to put it bluntly, horrible. They all are short, with no mention of WHY the events are happening, and the debreifs are just as bad - just a "good work". Nothing else. Not even more than one sentance. And the gobs of grammatical, punctuational, and spelling errors are absurd for 4 sentance briefings.
Balance:
Not bad; overall, the missions are a tad easy, but that's forgivable. There is generally a good mix available in terms of fighters, but in a couple missions, I found myself wishing for a good Athena to hold Stilletos.
Design:
TDA is a miasma of bad design decisions. The breifings simply tell the player to go out and fight, without any explanation whatsoever. There is, simply, no plot at all, no reason for these five missions to be in a campaign. The names of the ships are even worse; the creator never bothered to rename "GTC Leviathon 27", for example. In one escort mission, the player is told to escort the "GTC" to "his" warpout point (all ships are male in TDA). However, in the debriefing, you are told simply that the GTFR made it to his destination. GTFR? That was a cruiser! Also, for the last TWO MINUTES, there is NO combat. In none of the missions are there any events, messages, etc. In short, they're just combat. That's it; no plot, no fun....
Gameplay:
Like the life of a cop, slow and boring offset by moments of fear. There are often long stretches of no combat, and no... fun.
Other Thoughts:
This is absurd. This is a collection of missions, with horrible breifings and debreifings, and no plot whatsoever - a cardinal sin for a campaign. This is just sad.
